How to Create and Update Locations

Modified on Wed, 31 Jan at 10:32 AM

Location is the place where the event or shift happen. This article details how to add locations to Nowsta and how to customize them.

Adding Locations

To add a location, head to the Locations page and select new location. There are a number of details you can enter for each location in Nowsta.

Location Name

The location's name is how you'll identify the location throughout the other pages in Nowsta, so choose wisely.

Location Address

As you enter the address, Nowsta will try to map the location on Google Maps. Please look closely at the location on Google Maps to make sure you've entered the correct address.

Parking Type

You can select No Parking, Lot Parking, or Street Parking.

Pay code

You have the option of adding a unique pay code for each location

Radius

You can enter a custom GPS geo-fence radius for each location in Nowsta. This feature only applies if your organization uses Nowsta's GPS self-check-in functionality. If you would like more information about GPS self-check-in, you can see here

Location Main Contact

Use this field to add contact information for the location's main contact, if applicable. These fields are not visible to those working the event.

Location Worker Notes

This field helps share special instructions or directions with workers. Anytime a location is selected, workers can see the associated Location Worker Notes field in the Nowsta Workers app.

Location Admin Notes

Only coordinators and admins can see the notes in this field.

Preferred and Restricted Workers

This section lets you set which workers are preferred or restricted for a given location.

When selecting workers from your worker list, preferred workers will be prioritized, and restricted workers will be hidden.
