There are two ways to use departments in Nowsta.
First, departments can apply to a specific position or group of positions. Any staff member who is qualified for a given position within that Department is also qualified for the Department.
Second, departments can apply to a specific event or group of events.
The distinction between the two uses of departments can be helpful as you consider running detailed reports. Position Departments affect the Payroll and Time & Attendance reports. Event Departments affect the Event reports.
